Talking about the paopu fruit with Selphie
Form: A stone bowl of water, dip finger in to get memory (0/3)
What it is: A short headcanon memory of her and Selphie gossiping about the legend of the paopu fruit back home, before any of the terrible plot stuff happened. The legend is that if two people share one, their destinies become intertwined, and they'll remain a part of each others lives no matter what (spoilers this has relevance later). It's cute and sweet and they tease each other about who they'd share it with if they could.
What she learned:
- Who Selphie is and that her and Selphie are total bros
- Her island has magical destiny sharing fruit wow Destiny Islands you are kind of cool
- Got teased about sharing it with Sora or Riku, they were definitely close, mentions of Tidus and Wakka
Sora's heart: Boys, boys, you're both pretty
Form: Tiny, sharp axe, cut self to receive memory (0/3)
What it is:
Only the parts regarding Sora, obviously. Okay, so! This memory is important for reasons other than it's distressing content. It is the first one she's got that she is not actually in, only talked about. It's going to confuse the hell out of her and she'll think the Green Knight got it mixed up with Sora's, everything is from his point of view, except that she remembers reacting to them. Kairi's feeling her feelings, not Sora's, but she's definitely not there. No sense made!
What she learned:
- Sora is on magical monster fighting adventures IN SPACE with a duck and a dog
- ...Fucking whales in space. GOOD JOB GETTING EATEN BY THE SPACE WHALE SORA.
- Who Pinocchio, Gepetto, Jiminy, Goofy and Donald are
- Riku is here and being kind of a dick??? His entrance is a reversal of the previous memory she had with him in, now Sora is the one being serious and trying to get shit done and Riku is the one playing around, this memory messes with her basic perceptions of Riku both in basic personality and his morality
- She is lost and in trouble and in need of saving, except... She's right there? Kind of? Why are they talking about her having lost her heart!?
- Wow Riku is totally willing to hurt/kill people and is pretying on children to save her, that um, uh, thanks... Riku... Ughhh she super doesn't want any of this to be happening this is the worst ever why won't you idiots stop fighting.
- Magical space whale anatomy makes NO SENSE
